I am an Mcom, MBA Finance pass-out in the year 2004 ,possessing almost a decade of industry expertise .Major quantum of it goes to logistics and warehousing and rest of into like Accounts payable domain
In my initial stages of my career i was working on SAP ECC environments as an end -user like creating purchase orders,work orders,purchase requisition ,performing MIGO and MIRO transactions for the big clients who already implemented SAP
my inclination was always towards SAP Finance for which i did an exclusive training but not certification,i consistently tried hard to get a job in SAP ,the reason was being that major of the companies were asking minimum 1 e2e implementation alas
still the hunt is going on despite having excellent configuration on SAP,companies still asking for the same.i always ask one question to myself that in a human life everything occurs first time be it a marriage or buying a new vehicle or delivering a baby ,then why this implementation is not coming to me,
more then 75% of transaction revenue passes through SAP system worldwide ,more then 90% of companies runs on SAP,competition has become so massive that despite having good paper qualification and experience a person is chasing a job if he/she is not having requisite SAP knowledge .considering all these following questions i feel needs to be justified?
- do company’s are playing a strategy to eliminate unnecessary traffic/applicants by considering only peoples having one end to end implementation exposure ?
- what about those who are new born babies and want to catapult in SAP world?
- As if now companies are hiring people who have certification?
- what is the clear syllabus /content to be followed in a resume to get trapped into a support or an implementation project
- are companies more focused on cost cutting measure to recruit an all-in-one resource for a greenfield or a brownfield project rather then hiring junior consultants who recently entered SAP arena or wants to join SAP arena
- what does it actually means when company says minimum 2-3 years of SAP experience on which platform end-user?power user?super-user? and what activities does it involves
- And if a guy of middle age ,what precautionary measures he/she can take to get a job in SAP in recent times
